Hello Guys and Gals,

So the meeting is now a week Friday.

Does anyone have any ideas for talks? Is there anything you'd like to know
about? Anything you'd like to talk about.

See everyone at 7pm

Hi,
Im willing to do a talk as there seem to be slots free. I need
to think about what I can do a talk on, if anyone has any ideas or
would like a topic covered I am happy to see if I am able to cover one
of those topics.

Kind regards

Andy (weymouth Lad!)

Umm, I could give that talk on wxWidgets...

Although I am just a beginner myself, there isnt much to know.... But it is handy having an easy to implement c++ (not C compatible I'm afraid) gui library :)

I can also demo the GUI Builder capabilities of Code::Blocks IDE

It might be beneficial if I show people the special "bastardized" way to use it rather then the way normally suggested (very similar to MFC which is gayeeee).

Sounds good to me. I'd be interested in seeing how some libraries GUIs are
put together.

I could look at doing a talk on how some encryption algorithms actually
work. Without going into the code of the things I could cover the basic
math surrounding them - its pretty neat stuff once you see it.

Would anyone be interested? There could be two versions of the talk - one
with and one without history and future prediction.

That could be useful, the complexities of my typical encryption normally just involve an ASCII shift :p

a -> b
b -> c
c -> d
etc...
hello -> ifmmp

:p

Hmm, much like Harry Potter... Do I need to have completed the second in order to understand the story line? :p

Hi all,

          I may have missed some messages, so I apologise for that, out of interest what are the talks at the next meeting?

Kind regards

Andy Garrett (Weymouth lad, self employed layabout!)

Your CCNA talk (if your still happy too)
I'll be doing one on how encryption works
Karsten will be giving a talk on wxWidgets

and I think Dan is giving a short roundup of the Digital Economy bill
we've all been hearing so much about.

Thanks everyone for a great evening. Definatly some interesting points
raised during all 3 talks, I know I've been doing lots of research this
weekend.
