1) What does the actual XML look like ? (the one generated on the file system - email that to me)

2) Was this showing fine before ?

I can simulate it too ... its not to do with IzPack / not IzPack ... i think its to do with the version of the transformer .

can you replace the odttransformer.jar file in your IzPack installation with the version here :

(click 'view raw file' to download) ... and tell me if that fixes your problem ?

Can you send me the version of odttransformer.jar used where its working for you ? (from your editor installation )

That way I can know exactly when it broke

OK fixed in http://code.google.com/p/bungeni-editor/source/detail?r=3002

If you svn up in editor/lib/bungenitransformer and rebuild the arabic translation should be fine.

I think it broke in the mid january revision where i had optimized the way streams were passed between pipeline steps, one of the  processing steps lost encoding information.

Hello Ashok ,
It seems that the problem is not with bungenitransformer.jar since it's still working on my editor installation and broken on IzPack installation !!

Thats because you have different versions of the transformer on the 2 installations. Its got nothing to do with Izpack (which just packages the files and doesnt do anything more )... its a file encoding issue ...

How could it be 2 different transformer ?
I compiled my working version again and the IzPack installer still not working!
I tried to copy the transformer jar file into IzPack installer but still no work !
How could it be fixed?

What is going now is that Arabic text is viewing correctly on xml files in work-space directory ...
but not on xml viewer window .. I think it's a unicode modification must be on the viewer panel ..

Cool ... that appears to have been a bug too !

There was also a bug in the transformer, the file on the filesystem had the encoding wrong since the Jan release.
