I have reverted the container form back to the 550 height so it works on all resolutions, but I have made the container scrollable (see attached image for example ) . 

So your long dialog will automatically become vertically scrollable if it exceeds the width - note that you still have to respect the horizontal width. 

I think this will work fine for you.
