SPONSOR FOR THE FEBRUARY 26TH RACE MEETING

         AT DROMESIDE RACEWAY BUNDABERG

Hi Everyone
You might be all wondering why I have sent out the supp regs for other tracks. The AKAQ website is having problems and can't show the supp regs at the moment. As a service to members I will send out emails with the supp regs of nearby tracks until this problem has been solved.

On the home front our meeting last night resolved to have a working bee on Saturday the 18th of February to tidy up the track ready for the PETER WALTON TYRE AND MECHANICAL OPEN RACE DAY on the 26th of February. So if anyone can help out for a few hours on Saturday the 18th from 7AM til 12noon and bring whipper snipers and rakes and stuff to clean up around the track it would be appreciated.

Our new lighting system should arrive next week and be up and running for the first race. El Presidente Ey was put through the paces on the new system and said "Anybody could run it. It is that simple".  (Gee it must be easy if he can do it) eh eh

I have attached application forms for renewing your stewards /officials qualifications so please fill them out and send them back to AKAQ as soon as possible as we cant run meeting with out officials. No officials no race meetings its as simple as that. This also applies to new members who want to apply for a stewards licence. Steward schools are being held to train prospective new stewards see attached schedule schools for 2012.pdf and sign up. There is a bit of traveling involved but if you can attend it would help out the club immensely. No previous experience required.

We are holding another Come and Try day on the 3rd of march 2012. That's the Saturday after our race day from 9AM til 1.00PM. The one we held last year was very successful and we gained some new members from it. We thank all who participated to make it a success and would call on you to help out on the 3rd March once again. We will be using AKAQ karts this time (fingers crossed) Spread the word!

Racing for the year has started at other venues so check them out on the CMS system and see how your fellow club members fared.
if you type or copy and paste this into your browser https://app.austkarting.com.au/aka/results you will be able to view every result in Australia after they have been posted to this website. Don't forget to bookmark this page so you don't have to type it each time.

Cheers
Brian
