Hello Fruit & Nut Club!

Join us for an extra community work day on Friday, July 7, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park. We are having this extra work day because the Dr. George Washington Carver Edible park is on the Bountiful Cities Urban Garden Tour & Tasting happening Sunday, July 9 from 1pm to 5pm, and we want the park to look nice.
To ensure everyone's comfort and safety, Bountiful Cities, in collaboration with the Stephens-Lee Recreation Center, will provide additional tools, hand sanitizer, and water. Asheville Greenworks will supply gloves and trash bags. However, we encourage participants to bring their own gloves, hand tools, water, and anything else they may need to fully enjoy the event. While masks are welcome, they are not required. These community work days are presented in partnership with the City of Asheville.
Then save the date for the Bountiful Cities Urban Garden Tour & Tasting on Sunday, July 9. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore and savor the offerings of urban gardens in Asheville. Don't miss out! The event is free and open to the public, with tasting tickets available for purchase. For more information and to buy tickets, please visit our website: https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/MTc2MDAw The day of the the Urban Garden Tour & Tasting, Virtuous will be performing, there will be face painting, and activities for children in and around the Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park and the East End/Valley Street Community Garden from 1pm to 5pm.
Convenient parking is available at the Stephens-Lee Recreation Center parking lot, located at 30 George Washington Carver Avenue. Stay updated with the latest information on the Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064283755413.
