We're excited to extend a special invitation to all members of the Fruit & Nut Club to join our upcoming community workday at the Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park. This event presents a wonderful opportunity for us to unite, share our passion for fruit and nut trees, and actively contribute to the beauty of our community.

📅 Date: Friday, January 19th 🕑 Time: 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm 📍 Location: 30 George Washington Carver Ave, Asheville

🌈 Agenda for the Day:

• Engage in activities such as mulching, light tree and shrub pruning, trash pickup, invasive clearing, and seasonal planting (as available).
• Exclusive hands-on demonstrations by Kelly Applegate from Bountiful Cities.
• A guided tour of the park, highlighting its fruit and nut tree treasures.

🛠️ While we'll provide additional tools and hand sanitizer, we encourage you to bring your gloves, loppers, pruners, or weeding tools to enhance the experience. 🧤🌱

😷 Masks are optional but encouraged for the safety and well-being of all participants.

🅿️ Parking: Conveniently available at the Stephens Lee Recreation Center parking lot. 30 George Washington Carver Avenue, Asheville.

This special community effort is proudly presented in collaboration with the City of Asheville, Bountiful Cities, and the East End/Valley Street Neighborhood Association and we believe your expertise and enthusiasm will greatly enrich this experience.
