🍂 Join Us for a Fall Community Work Day! 🍂

Hello Fruit & Nut Club!

We invite you to be a part of our community work day at the Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park on Friday, November 17 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Embrace the beauty of the autumn season while contributing to this wonderful initiative!

🌳 Location: 30 George Washington Carver Avenue, Asheville

🚗 Parking: Available in the Stephens Lee Recreation Center parking lot

🌿 Guided by: Kelly Applegate from Bountiful Cities

We'll provide extra tools and hand sanitizer, but if you can bring your gloves, loppers, pruners, or weeding tools, it would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to wear masks, though they are not required.

🌱 Activities for the Day:

  • Mulching
  • Light tree and shrub pruning
  • Trash pickup
  • Clearing invasives
  • Seasonal planting (as available)

We'll include hands-on demonstrations of each technique and a guided tour of the park. Join us in supporting Asheville's first edible forest ecosystem and get involved in this amazing community effort.

These community workdays are presented in partnership with the City of Asheville.

For the latest updates, please visit the Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park Facebook Page.

We look forward to seeing you on November 17 for a day of community, sustainability, and fall fun! 🍁🌻
