Hello Buncombe Fruit & Nut Club!

Join us for our monthly Workday at Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM!

This month, Greenworks will be hosting a Tree Giveaway—stop by and pick up a free tree! You don’t have to volunteer to receive a tree, but we’d love to have you stay and help out if you’re able.

Kelly from Bountiful Cities will be guiding us in planting, weeding, and general park care. It’s a great way to learn more about tree and plant care while helping nurture a vital community space.

Here’s what you need to know:

•  Tree Giveaway!

•  Water and snacks will be provided

•  Bring pruners or saws if you have them

•  Parking is available at the Stephens-Lee Recreation parking lot

•  Location: 30 George Washington Carver Avenue

This event is in partnership with the City of Asheville Sustainability Department, and all are welcome—whether you're a longtime neighbor or just stopping by for the first time.
