Hello Fruit & Nut Club!

Join us for a community work day on Friday, July 21, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park. We want to ensure that the park continues to look its best and provide a pleasant space for everyone in the neighborhood.

During the work day, we are fortunate to have Kelly Applegate from Bountiful Cities guiding us. Her expertise and guidance will be invaluable as we work together to enhance our beloved park. To ensure everyone's comfort and safety, Bountiful Cities, in collaboration with the Stephens-Lee Recreation Center, will provide additional tools, hand sanitizer, and water. Asheville Greenworks will supply gloves and trash bags. However, we encourage participants to bring their own gloves, hand tools, water, and anything else they may need to fully enjoy the event. While masks are welcome, they are not required. These community work days are presented in partnership with the City of Asheville.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the volunteers who helped us prepare for the recent Bountiful Cities Urban Garden Tour and Tasting. People were impressed by the Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park, and it wouldn't have been possible without your hard work. Thank you for your dedication and support.

Convenient parking is available at the Stephens-Lee Recreation Center parking lot, located at 30 George Washington Carver Avenue. Stay updated with the latest information on the Dr. George Washington Carver Edible Park Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064283755413.

We look forward to seeing you at the work day!
