Welcome to the “BunchofCurators” Sporcle Google Group!

This is a forum where Curators participating with the “BunchofCurators” Account can exchange ideas, for the purposes of collaboratively creating quizzes, as well as sharing quiz-making techniques and strategies.

Although the preliminary model is the UnitedEditors account, there are key differences that set this apart:

• First, because of the large number of curators (as opposed to 15 editors), there needs to be some control regarding participation, and the content and issuance of quizzes. Otherwise this entity would quickly become too unwieldy.

• Second, it is essential that collaboratively-produced quizzes are “proofed” prior to their contribution to the public.

• Third, there is a brand new element with which we’ll be experimenting. We’ll set up special “dummy” quizzes which will NOT be contributed, but will serve as “templates” for demonstrating (and sharing) various quiz-construction techniques.  This can help us improve our own skills, as well as enable us to better respond to requests for assistance from others. These will only be used by the participating Curators, as a reference tool.

I’m really excited about this joint venture, and thanks for ganging up with me to make it happen. And I thank Matt for helping me get it up and rolling, and for endorsing the project. Please continue and read the Guidelines post.

I really like that third point, to be able to "see" the construction of a complicated quiz format instead of trying to interpret what someone is trying to explain to you should be very helpful, if I understand what you're saying correctly.

So I know that this place has been kinda dead for a while, but I was wondering if there was any interest in reviving it again. I remember it was a lot of fun working on quizzes with other creative users. Even though I'm no longer a curator, I still think it would be cool if we were able to make some more innovative quizzes
