Information went out to the Humane society directors regarding BURN
last week and I was contacted right away from Mandy a CHS in Brunswick
with some dogs she is concerned about finding homes for since the
shelter is FULL FULL. Here are the 2 dogs she thought would fit out
rescue and if we can find foster homes, we can take them.

Riley is a 2-3 year old rottweiller mix (maybe 50 lbs). He is a
really sweet boy, but has a few quirks. He didn't pass our temperment
test because he failed the food aggression part, and the body
sensitivity part. We've been feeding him out of our hands, and we
have seen a lot of improvement with his food issues. He doesn't love
to be touched on his hind quarters, but has also improved in that area
as he gets to be more comfortable with the staff at the shelter. He
seems to do alright with less dominant dogs, and smaller dogs. He is
a great dog who needs someone with a little patience, and probably no
young children (at this point).

Buddy Boy is a 3 year old pit bull. He is a very excuberant little
guy, who doesn't seem to have a good understanding of his boundaries
yet. With a good leader to guide him I think he could make a great
pet for the right person. He was adopted out of our shelter, and then
returned because he didn't get along with their other male dog, and
because there was 1 bit incident (which seems pretty circumstantial).
He has not gotten along with male dogs or any dominant dogs in the
shelter environment (which can bring out the worst in a lot of dogs).
I love this little guy, and hope we can find someone who is willing to
give him a chance. He kind of reminds me of a 2 year old child.

Seger is a 3-4 year old boxer pitbull mix. He came in as a stray in
very poor condition (problems with his eyes, ears, skin, fur loss, not
neutered and super long nails). He's been at the shelter for a long
time just so we could bring him back to good health and neuter him.
Now he looks great!!! He did pass our temperment test, but he has
some pretty serious dog aggression in the shelter environment. He is
super cute, and great with people. I hope we can find a solution for
this dog who has been through so much.

Please let me know what you think and if you know of someone who could
foster?

Thank you
Jenn
