Listers,Am about out of WST which I use for my .45 acp wad pistol. But I do have a large 8 pounder (not quite full) of WSF. I realize it is not as fast burning as WST, but can I use it for my .45 acp? I have been using 4.2 gr. of WST behind my 200 gr. lswc bullets with excellent results. (Chrono about 812 fps) How much would I use with WSF? My guess is about 5.2 gr.? Does that sound dangerous? Can’t find WST anywhere. Thanks for your help.
--The chart shown on http://www.reloadbench.com/burn.html gives you the "relative burn rate" for various powders.
Here are some WSF loads with 200 gr bullets. It looks like your starting load of 5.2 would be fine.
