Seems I remember the AMU Armorer talking at the panel of experts about the magic load.  Said they use a barrel tester on each barrel.  Try it with 115 then with 124 grain bullets.  Even though the same make of barrel and same twist, some like the slower heavier and some like the faster lighter.

(almost) Last comment, VERY few marksmen are capable of knowing there is a difference.  For Vince (the original requestor of load data) If you are using the AMU magic bullets, they dont work well in a stock Beretta 9mm barrel.  If you have a Sams or MCP built 92, Ask the guy who built it.  They usually will recommend a good accurate load.

(Actual) last comment.  Learn to shoot a 1911 .45 They are more accurate for less money and last longer.  You will have to shoot a .45 in at least 1/3 of a regular match anyway.  Properly sprung, I think, the recoil of a 1911 with hard ball ammo is pretty much the same as 9mm.  The 9 is a sharp short duration recoil.  The .45 is a higher energy but slower so feels less.  Like catching a pop fly soft ball compared to a baseball.

Just my opinion, a Remington R1 can be had for under a grand with added Gunsmithing to include adjustable rear and Clark bushing.  More than acceptable accurate for EIC matches.  You can spend a LOT of time and money trying to get a 9mm to go 50yd accurately.  Time and money you could be using to learn how to put .45 bullets in the 10 ring.

Guys,

Vince is the same gentleman that has had a slew of issue getting his MCP pistol. I know that situation is not yet resolved but he did pick up a Beretta used and wants to earn his distinguished pistol badge with it.

How about rather than suggesting different pistols, just go work up a load or sue the Government to give up their load data we just offer up some loads that from experience have worked in your Beretta.

Vince when I get home I will look up the data I used in the M9 w/KKM barrel that worked for me and I will provide you that off list. It worked in my Beratta and hopefully it will do the same for you. You will need some Zero 115gr FMJ bullets, Starline brass, WSP and Power Pistol powder. I will get you OAL and crimp later.

If I found a load that worked, I would have offered it. I found
inexpensive Magtech factory 124gr ammo good enough for a P-100 badge in
a KKM barreled 92FS. I bought the ammo on Vendor row in 2009 after
shooting well in the M9 practice match.

My reloads never had the consistency. I suspect if I bought new brass
rather than reloaded brass that would help.

I do reload for 9mm but only for action pistol type sports where targets
are close and accuracy is relative.

If it were me, and i wanted my ammo to be just like the Atlanta Arms AMU match, i would just buy some. CMP matches use 30 rounds, buy 5 boxes and forget about it, practice trigger control with walmart Winchester.
