Listers,

Anyone ever hear of a Hammerli International? I was told it is actually a Hammerli 208s but without the trigger adjustment fore and aft. Is this correct? Any experience with this model? Approximately what is one that is NIB worth? Thanks.

I have a Hammerli 209 (yes a nine) that says International as does the original grey corrugated cardboard box it came in

Kenn,

Yes, the 209 was the same as the 210 (both .22 SHORT) except that the 210 (far more common) had adjustable grips.

I'll go into the 208 vs the 208S later when I have the time.. More to it than the adjustable location of the trigger.

I use a Hammerli International as my main gun.  It predates the 208 and is the same gun with a few variations...the safety, the ability to adjust the trigger and the grips.

Both of my 208’s say Hämmerli International on them, My 215 has nothing on the slide. It is probably a 208.

John,

No!-- The 215 is a lesser externally finished version of the 208.  The innards are the same as  the 208.

The appellation "International"  was used for the high end pistols.  It was used to identify the 206, 207,208, 209,and the 210.  Though I saw
a 208S once with that slide marking.

The differences 'tween the 208 and 208S will be listed when I have more time.

Jerry
