I have been looking into purchasing a portable turning target system to use at the range for practice.  I have no interest in building one and want one that has recorded voice commands.  I have seen the systems from portabletargets.com and targettimers.com.  Are their any other companies that make these units?  Is there anyone who has one they would be interested in selling?

Thanks,
James

I have and fully endorse the portabletargets.com system.  I bought one a few years back from a list member who had never removed it from the shipping container.

The target system listed below is what I had before, and it didn't suit my needs at all because of my usual practice range's layout.  I think a tinkerer could probably make it work though.

If you find a used portabletargets.com system, snap it up.  Mine eventually needed a new battery which I found at Radio Shack.

Best regards,
D

You should also look at fellow BE Shooter, Junior Coach and Supporter, and retired Coast Guard Chief Wes Fleming. His email address is: mailto:wer...@net-change.com

His system is excellent and we should support our own.

BTW, his "geezer cart" is really awesome and an excellent value.

Check it out!

Dennis Weestrand of Portable Targets provides outstanding and outstanding personal support. He was a very active shooter. His system is over-engineered. My only issue with his system is you have to cut Perry cardboard to fit. He also has brackets for silhouette targets. He is always, except for sickness at the end of commercial row. If the controllers aren't shot, they will easily last forty years.
