California bans lead ammo from hunting

Hi all,

Just wanted to report that Brown signed the phase-out of lead ammo statewide by 2015. I believe this only applies to ammunition used during hunts, and it only extends the current ban which was throughout central California.

I know that there are probably a lot of opinions out there, but I am generally in support of this. 

Lead toxicity is a leading cause of death in California condors and can also affect eagles and other raptors. Some more general info found here:

Anyways, just wanted to update you all, and thought it might be a good time to try and schedule a range day. We could try out non-lead ammo!

Oops, the phase-out is by 2019, not 2015!
