Bear Hunting

Most of you know me but there are a few that don't. My name is David Grove and I am a member of the Bull Moose group. I am also a licensed hunting guide and have taken some of the folks from the group out on hunts. 

I have two weekends that just opened up and am looking for clients that want to go on a bear hunt. The area that I bear hunt is in the Yollo Bolly wilderness area just north of Covelo (about 4 hours north of the Bay Area). This is a road-less area so we back pack in about 5 miles and hunt out of a base camp. I just got back from hunting this area last week and the bears are working the hillsides all day long. Attached are pictures of a small bear that we took as well as a few pictures from a trail camera that I set over a secluded water hole.

The great part about this hunt is that you will likely not see another hunter for the entirety of the hunt and will see some spectacular country. The middle fork of the Eel River runs through the canyon we hunt in and it is some of the most beautiful country around. 

I am open the weekends of November 2nd and November 16th if anyone is interested. I typically like to leave very early morning on a Thursday and return late Sunday night. It is also possible to leave after work on Thursday but it means a bit less time to hunt. I will provide transportation to and from the Bay Area and am happy to let folks borrow some gear if they need it. The cost for this hunt is $1,000 a person. If there are two people that want to go together I will lower it to $850 a person. 

If you are looking for a true wilderness area woods experience, this is your hunt. This is by far the most fun hunting trip that I do personally during the year. I will book these weekends on a first come first serve basis.

Thought I would send this out one more time. I am guiding bears hunts and if anyone is interested please let me know. This is a hunt that you will not soon forget and one that takes you through some spectacular country. My schedule for November and December opened up quite a bit and I have more free time than I expected so if anyone is interested in heading out on this hunt please let me know. 

Also, I will bring the price down to $850 a person for the Bull Moose group. Attached are pics from a few weeks ago in the area we would be hunting.
