Hi Gang,

I'm sure some of you have read about the eviction letter sent to Pacific Rod and Gun in SF.  They are trying to encourage people to contact the local officials in support of the club.  I'm forwarding the email they sent me in hopes of drumming up some more support.

Thanks, Brook

Dear PRGC Member:

We've been receiving quite a few of emails regarding what should be said in correspondence to the officials below. We believe that keeping it "short and sweet" is better at this point. For example:

"Dear (Insert Name):

I am writing you to show my support for the Pacific Rod & Gun Club and its future long-term existence on Lake Merced.

Thank you (EOM)"

Obviously, feel free to say more, but they key purpose here is to show that there is strong support from members and the community.

What more can you do? Pass on this email to EVERYONE you know (friends, family, fellow sportsmen, etc) who will support this great Club and have them continue to hit the phones, emails, letters, faxes, etc.

Thank you -

PRGC

Dear PRGC Member:

PLEASE SEE THE IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT MIKE MILLER REGARDING THE CURRENT LEASE ISSUES AT THE CLUB:
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

URGENT MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT MILLER:

Dear Fellow Members,

As you all know, the SFPUC has served us with a lease termination notice effective August 15, 2012. This came as a total surprise to us for we had been working with Rosanna Russell, the Real Estate Asset Manager and attorney recently hired by the SFPUC  to negotiate a new lease with us. The press keeps reporting that the reason we are being evicted is that we are refusing to sign a "standard modern SFPUC lease". We have no problem with their "standard lease", it is the multitude of additions to it by Ms. Russell that we feel are unfair and have the intention of running us off the property that we have been stewards of the past 78 years! We have acted honestly and fairly in dealing with Ms. Russell and the SFPUC, but the negotiations have been very one sided and her standard response to us is "take it or leave it" ! Why the SFPUC is treating us so unfairly is beyond our comprehension.

We haven't given up and your Board is hopeful that this issue can be resolved fairly. We need your help NOW and ask you to contact the City officials listed on our website (www.prgc.net) and below and let them know that you support this Club!

Thanking you in advance,

Mike Miller
