Phoenix Serve is a valuable tool with a handful of features that are helpful to faculty members for managing their community-based learning (formerly academic service-learning) or community-engaged course. We are the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service. We provide health care and community health services to approximately 180,000 American Indians/Alaska Natives in the tri-state area of Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. Through ten Service Units including two Youth Regional Treatment Centers and a network of heath care facilities, we are a health care partner to over forty tribes.

Our Area Office is based in Phoenix, Arizona, where 197 administrative and technical staff contribute to the success of our mission to raise the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska Natives to the highest level. Our Service Units employ over 2,400 staff. Our system of care includes IHS- and tribally-operated health care facilities that serve tribal communities as well as three Urban Indian health programs. These services are comprehensive and range from primary care (inpatient and outpatient) to tertiary care and specialty services. In addition, dental services, behavioral health, public health nursing, health education, and environmental health services are provided.

Our largest health care facility is the Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC), located near downtown Phoenix. This Joint Commission accredited 127-bed hospital employs nearly 1,200 people to provide a comprehensive range of specialty services to both urban and rural tribal members. In addition, PIMC professional staff travels throughout the states in the Phoenix Area region, providing direct services and consultation and guidance to other IHS hospitals and health centers.

PSC provides consultant rehabilitation services, targeted case management, housing access coordination, transitional services, supportedemployment and independent living skills services for individuals eligible for Medical Assistance and /or Home & Community Based WaiveredServices. Whether it is assisting an individual to secure employment or to help with daily living activities, our goal is to provide the tools topromote and sustain independent living. PSC uses a person-centered approach to service coordination. We focus on and involve the client indesigning a plan specific to their desires and needs.

Rehabilitation Services: PSC provides consultative rehabilitation services, such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, andSpeech Therapy, designed to improve the physical function of disabled individuals. Therapists make recommendations for equipment, mobilityprograms, communication systems, etc.

Targeted Case Management: PSC assists individuals in transitioning from institutional settings such as a nursing home or otherlong term care environments to the community. The services are titled Relocation Service Coordination. A case manager is assigned and assistsindividuals, desiring to move, with all tasks to help facilitate the move, including securing housing, health care services and other communitysupports the person may need within their home.

Transitional Services: services are available to assist eligible individuals living in an institutional setting to pay applicationfees, damage deposits, moving expenses, and to secure the resources they need to move including but not limited to equipment, household items andfurniture.

Nurse Consultant Services: agencies contract with PSC to provide the service. We assist agencies in meeting licensing andregulatory requirements related to the provision of health services.

Consultant Dietician Services: agencies contract with PSC to provide this service. We assist agencies with development of menus,nutritional education, and compliance with regulatory requirements related to nutritional services.

Helping adolescents navigate from foster care to the real world is daunting. JFCS assists with education, GED preparation, paid internships, job training, and other services with the Real World Job Development Program.

Our student salon and spa in Phoenix, Arizona, is serviced completely by our students under the supervision of licensed educators. Our model at Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes allows our students to get hands-on experience providing professional beauty treatments and services to clients using only high-quality, natural Aveda products.

We do not accept cash and only accept credit cards or Apple Pay as forms of payment. If you wish, you may tip students cash directly, but we cannot apply gratuity to a credit card or accept gratuity on behalf of a student. We are also not able to accept Aveda gift cards for student salon and spa services. We welcome guests from ages six and up, though children ages six through 15 may only receive a service when accompanied by an adult who is not receiving a service. Finally, only guests receiving services are allowed on the clinic floor for your safety.

We strive to maintain seamless service from one client to the next. As part of our Cancellation Policy, we require a credit card on file to schedule all appointments. We require all cancellations & reschedules to be made at least 24 hours in advance for all services. Cancellations, reschedules, and no shows within the 24 hour period will result in the card on file being charged 50% of the service scheduled. This policy helps ensure we can promptly fill vacant appointments and keep our students engaged.

Same-day service has simplified holiday trash and recycling collection. Residents only have to remember changes on three holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The fee for solid waste services is on your monthly city services bill. It includes trash collection and disposal, repair and replacement of containers, dead animal pickup, enforcement, recycling and green organics collection. The fee also includes processing and other environmental programs. The solid waste fee begins when your water service is started. It ends when water service is discontinued. Parents must check in their kids before service. Once your child is registered for the first time, simply enter your phone number into one of the self-service or assisted kiosks to receive your child's name tag. You will receive a matching pick-up receipt which will be required to pick your child up after service. Jr High and High School Students are able to check themselves into service using the self-service kiosks.
