Iam trying to get the Community Online Tools to work on my personal server and I am having issues getting it to work. I have added the required mod folders and created the folders and file for the profiles folder. Here is how I have my bat file to start the server. Is this the correct way to have it? This info is on line 2 of my bat file, no other wording:
SmashT, thanks for the info. Added that and the server placed a few JSON files in the community online tools folder and text docs in the Permissions roles folder and a JSON file with my player id in the players folder. I changed the info under roles to admin from everyone, but still not able to use the tools. I also tried adding in the permissions folder a txt, PLAYER and JSON file with the admin info, but still not. I think it is something small I am missing.
ProfileFolder\PermissionsFramework\Permissions /with your admin txt files i will post the permissions at the bottom of the post so the correct id for the admins will be there steam id and this is a text file with the name of there steam id so for example 76561198345624116.txt
that is what I have in my profiles folder. After I first ran it two txt files came up in roles, admin and everyone. What I think I was doing wrong was just getting onto my server using dayz instead of going through the launcher. I just tried again through launcher with the three mods checked and when I try to get onto the server I get kicked. Here is what the kicked errors show:
have you forwarded your ports on your router and pc 2302-2312 upd/tcp and 27016 tcp/udp this is why it is not showing up the reason you need ports 2302-2312 is the launcher mod you need on will jump 10 ports higher to use the mod feature also you need to add this in to your server folder
I got my server, plus some others servers that i am trying to browser, and and i cant see them online neither from the dayz launcher nor dayz commander(i dont care about that program much tho as it's broken) .
Sometimes the dayz launcher it detects the server and it's showing it to me online, with full details. But most of the time it's with grey letters(offline),some other friends can see it online when i cant, and vise-versa.
Sounds like your router and or your windows firewall is blocking ports, some isps even block these. And unless your using a client like no-ip to keep you with one ip, your isp is randomly giving you a different ip address, and that could be why sometimes it shows and other times not
Can't find anything solid on if theres a way to play the og MINI DAYZ on pc but everyone seems to say its not possible and mainly for web browsers updating which is odd, cant find it archived anywhere. ig the question i have is there any or chance to get the last version of the SP build as a download or something. id like some more light on all this cause like why ever take it down like it was enjoyed and clearly had a community, why all this web browser non sense??? Just wanna play it on the pc again, mobile is great but keyboard n mouse has no support n thats lame asf why not have just released it as a legit game or whatever idk n why exclude the pc community, the game has had so much support already n why cut out pc support like wtf
Unfortunately, the original Mini Dayz is no longer available for download, as it was only available as a web browser game and the developers have since taken it down. If you wish to play the game, you can still find it online through various web-based emulators, but these emulators may not be as reliable or up-to-date as the original game. Alternatively, you can try downloading the mobile version of the game, which is still available for both Android and iOS devices.
The DayZ launcher is showing Chinese servers or not loading all the servers that are online. Players are forced to direct connect or use the DayZ SA Launcher (that they should never have to). Players have been reporting this issue since 1.19 and it is now affecting more people with 1.20.
Open the DayZ SA Launcher
Load Community tab
You will see Chinese servers first then when English servers load eventually a large majority of them are missing
You can even search by IP and it won't find the server
Direct connect sometimes works but often fails when tried several times
Hello operativo.
We are aware of the problem and it is being worked on. Changing priority here in the ticket will not change much as we are going through all the reported tickets and the priority is being sorted internally in our own system according to our own prioritisation.
@Geez can you give us some idea of what the priority level of this issue is? According to the announcement in the forums it is not even on the list of items being looked at: -state-of-120-update/?tab=comments#comment-2483984
This is unfathomable to many of us who are losing players every day because of this. Some assurance that there is a path to resolving it along with an estimate of when it will be resolved would go a long way toward calming down the hysteria.
Why is this still an issue months later? I see almost no one discussing it, yet it seems to be plaguing a huge portion of the player base. For almost 3 months I've only been able to play the same 3 servers from my favorites list
It's not fixed for everyone. I always sort by ping, it just hides the Chinese servers for the 10-15 minutes it takes to start populating with US servers. So the server browser is blank for that entire time.
Our actions towards others when we play games online aren't just throwaway motions. If we consider video games to be something more than mindless distractions, then our interactions with other humans are to be taken seriously. They matter.
There was a door on the outside of the "Roundhouse" map in Call of Duty: World at War that players could jump through to glitch under the map, after which they could run around shooting people from beneath the ground without fear of anyone shooting them back. My friends and I would be having a lovely evening of World at War multiplayer, and then Roundhouse would come up in the map rotation, and our good time would be dragged to a screeching halt.
I like to think I can pick up on the pain of others fairly quickly, and I try never to be the cause of pain. Sometimes I fail. I never understood the evil of griefing from a first-person perspective however, until I was put into an environment where griefing was the rule and not the exception. I watched myself devolve into a virtual sociopath.
That video is striking due to the admission contained within the title, "The Day Z guide to being a prick," and for a statement that the lead prick in charge makes on the video. "This is DayZ, so someone always has to die when players meet," he says.
They may wise up to the need to stay off the road when they are in passive mode. Then I show them they're not protected from being drowned by the high pressure stream of water sprayed by a fire engine either.
A vehicle exporter regularly requests specific vehicles for players to steal and deliver to him at the shipping docks. I love watching players get to the priority vehicle and drive it away, imagining how pleased they must be to have been the one who grabbed it first, and then detonating my planted explosives. I had actually gotten there first, you see.
They likely carry a little bit of that anger back into the game itself, and when the game seems to support this sort of behavior other players will likely take part, leading to a cycle of misery. I share some responsibility for this state of affairs.
The sources say the game will still have quests and a main story, just like traditional Fallout games, but will also have a focus on base building and online multiplayer. On Twitter, Kotaku's Jason Schreier elaborated, explaining that from what he's heard the game isn't necessarily an MMO, but it's "not strictly single-player."
