Interested to work on Learn from Map' application (With new Additional features)

Hi , I am Vishal Patel

      I Already Introduced My Self in BuildmLearn.org.

      So the Finally i am interested  in Learn from Map android android app in Gsoc .

      Here some additional feature for this app

      1) We can add feature like  a Multiplayer game Mode, Who give first answer , second player may be from same city or state or country and make competition between them who            is the good in find location.

   

      2) user can also select online user in Multiplaer Mode.

     

      3) if user give correct answer of location ,give  some details of that location  ( for purpose of increasing knowledge )

      4) correct location  answer is scoreboard of user.

      so this is the idea about the learn from map app

It's great that you have chosen a project. 

 

      Here some additional feature for this app

To start with, we would just like to focus on single player mode.

 

I would suggest you to do some more research about Learn the map, there have been many elaborate discussions on this topic already in this group.

here , one feature 

1)   can we add question like puzzle  , i.e  take  city or state or country ( in map part view ), give to user that part find in map.. 

    

      so question part is the most effective,understandable , or visual for user..

 

some question are here from my research 

1)  what about the map in the app , online or offline  ?

   currently i am working on offline map in different leval of map view

 2) questions are in which form database or xml or some define format..

Yes, you may add.

 

1)  what about the map in the app , online or offline  ?

We are OK with either one.. much depends on the overall user experience. If you feel online maps are laggy, you can use offline maps. Please check other discussions, this has been discussed.

 2) questions are in which form database or xml or some define format..

We would prefer that you pull questions from a local XML file that you bundle with the application.

  1) average weather questions

  2) current affairs based on location

  3) give the flag of countries image questions

  4) capitals of Countries

  5) place countries in the map

Good ideas, remember the objective of the application is to teach geography, so you can include questions related to mountains peaks, rivers, oceans, lakes, etc.

The average user would be primary school children studying geography subject.
