'Learn from Map' application (Learn Geography)

Hi,

Myself Avinash, pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Birla Institute Of Technology, Mesra.

I have interest in application development and i have been working on it.

I have worked on google map api v2.

I was working on android application, that shared friends location on the map. a person could see the current location of his friend on map based on security which was made successful using pin. only if a person knows the pin of the user, he can view his location. the app makes request to the php script on the server that returns the location.

I am interested in this project, learn from map and would want to submit the proposal.

My idea is

the First module-

we can allow user to view any specific place of his interest and that he wants to learn, we can have him the option to view cities, important places, and more options that he wants to learn. this will help him learn.

the second module-

we can ask him locate places(city, country, river) on map, the most simple one.

the 3rd module-

we can have a game say a flying object, say airplane or a flying carpet etc, and as the flying object crosses any place, the user can be shown the options and he can select one among them. if he is flying higher, we can show him the county and if he is flying at lower altitude we can show him the city and so on based on altitudes.

the 4th module-

we have him complete the incomplete names of a place and locate them

we can ask him to identify which country a particular place lies in, be it river, city, mountain, desert, any such thing.

we can be specific about user's choices, he can limit the boundary and we can ask him questions within the boundary.

we can even ask about the history of a place if he wishes too, there are so many other options.

A lot more can be added.
