Hi BuildmLearn developers!

My name is Nafis Zaman. I'm an undergrad at the University of Oklahoma pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science. I'm interested in working on BuildmLearn as part of GSoC 2014. Specifically, I'm interested in porting the toolkit to Mac and Linux.

I have a lot of experience with both C++ and Qt, mainly from working on KISS Platform, a set of cross-platform programming tools used by over 8,000 robotics students worldwide. It includes an IDEsimulator, and some other libraries. KISS Platform supports several platforms (Windows XP through Windows 8, OS X 10.7 - 10.9, Ubuntu 12.04+) and relies heavily on Qt, so I am familiar with some of the associated peculiarities.

I have cloned, compiled, and run the toolkit on OS X 10.9 and Ubuntu 12.04, as well as noted the more obvious issues (overlapping widgets, cut off text, etc.). I have not gotten into the very fine details, but hopefully that's what GSoC is for :)

I plan on finishing a proposal draft very soon, and I look forward to hearing from the community.
