There is some more of mine but i don’t have permission to share those. I have 2.5yrs+ experience in android development. Recently i am developing a game in android using unity3d.
Plans:
My intention is to build some learning application. I heard about GSoC in 16th march. Then i went through some project in GSoC. First when i see an android project (in openkeychain) which is based on encryption-decryption, i applied for it. Went through their code base. But i heard from them it was necessary to accept at least one-patch to get selected. But i have no that much time as the deadline is this Friday . So i begin my search again and find your project. Actually you have included some project such as 'Learn from Map' application (Learn Geography),'Tell the time' application,'Label the diagram' application that really attracts me. I will be grateful if i get the chance to work in those projects. From these I have sort out some thoughts that can be used to implement ‘Tell the time’ application.
They are –
Learn:
1.Learn from Riddle: Many riddle related to calendar can be added. just like
the one (30 days have September.........)
2. Knowledge: There will be a basic section that will hold some information like as when a leap year occur, how to calculate it.
Game:
3. We will give a particular time and user needs to set it in the analog-clock that will be shown in the app. Here one needs to set the hour arrow and minute arrow.
4. We will give user 7(arbitrary number) lines and from that he need to make the digital view of a particular time. Like for 7:11 he needs 7 lines to make the time.
5. We can also introduce some quiz type question to make learning more effective and entertaining. We can give the subtraction between two date-times and give user 4 options.
Our main user will be kids. So here we need to put the UI attractive. Kids loves to see cartoons, we can some icon of cartoons. We should also some music’s in the app. Just when some pass a test we can show an image of cartoon clapping with music. There will be some levels and after passing each one , user can get some bonus achievement.
Timeline & Expertise :
We can make a timeline and maintain to develop the application. We can work in phase base and set the milestone for each phase. I am really comfortable with the android api. I have experience in working with -

* I haven't work with you before. I am not an experts but i can ensure you about my dedication to work. I will stuck with the work until finish it successfully.
How many hours are you going to work on this a week?
* I can do 18~20 hours/week for this project. But i can give more time as my semester break is coming.
Do you have other commitments that we should know about? If so, please suggest a way to compensate if it will take much time away from Summer of Code.
* I have no commitments.
Are you comfortable working independently under a supervisor or mentor who is just available virtually?
* Yes sure. I am really comfortable with working with mentors by communicating with skype or other stuff.
Have you participated in any previous GSoC programs? If yes, tell us about your experience briefly and if you completed successfully.
* I haven't participated in GSoC program before. If you select me then it will be my maiden GSoC .
