Hi

I am Anuj, currently in 4th year of BTech (CSE) from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology,Noida. I have good programming skills and I am coding in python for almost 2 years now. I am experienced in processing large csv files using python as it is a part of my final year project. I also have developed small interarctive games in python as a part of a course on Coursera. I have also made a project related to communication in classroom using network communication and UI modules(tkinter) in python. It had features like in-class quizes (wherein students can send their responses to the teacher through their own laptops), assignments, doubts-solving,etc and also helped increasing communication between a teacher and his students. This was completely coded in python.

I am very interested in applying for GSoC this year and due to my skill set and experience in python and handling csv files in python, I would like to work on the translation tools project of BulidmLearn.

I a very quick learner and self-motivated person who likes to work independently. I also have experience in working in a virtual setup during an internship where my team members were in different colleges.

I wanted to know whether there are any entry tasks that I could work on to get a feel of the project. I looked up this part of the project in github for Buildmlearn but I could not find any code in the translation tools part.

Thanks

Pankaj Nathani

Hi Anujm

Thanks for your interest in our project. It would be great to see some projects that you have worked on and published somewhere.

With the Python experience you have, it seems like you can submit a good proposal for the project.

Exactly, you won't find any code yet.. since it's a new project from scratch. What you can do right now is pretty much what other students are doing.. get to know more details of the project, what REST APIs would you be using, what kind of UI libraries would you be using, UI mockups, etc.

Regards
Pankaj.
