learn from map applicaton

Hi,

I am a second year student at BITS Pialni, studying computer science. I  now have an experience in  android application development of about a year and this idea sounded really appealing . Presently, in relation to a project I used google map API and have since been following it closely. Recently I came across a new feature added that could be used in this application.

I am talking about 'heatmaps'. You can use a heatmap to visualise any data set that has a geospatial component e.g  the population of cities around the world weighted by population could be efficiently shown. Such new features would add a whole new dimension to the app.

Yes, heatmaps can be used to visualize location data but I fail to understand how would you use it in Learn from Map project. Please elaborate your idea for clarity.
