Hi

I am Rohan Gulati, undergrad in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology(NSIT), Dwarka, New Delhi, currently in my 4th year. I am interested in contributing towards Translation tool for GSoc 2014.

I have been involved in development in Python for over 1 year now. I also have good programming experience in C, C++ and Tkinter. I have mostly used python for all of my projects.

Work experience:
  • FindingNemo Tool - Precog Research Group, IIITD (Link)
    • implemented the tool from scrap using Python, Facebook Graph API, Twiiter API, OpenCV and Django
    • Optimized search algorithm and reduced search time by using multithreading and multiprocessing
    • Implemented face matching and histogram matching algorithms for identity resolution using profile image
I have also implemented some projects in python with are hosted on github.
I have started working on the tool and will be using PySide for gui.

Thank you

Rohan Gulati

Hi Rohan,

Thanks for your introduction. I tried the FindingNemo tool, it worked for my id :)

Cool, that's the kind of experience the project demands.

I have started working on the tool and will be using PySide for gui.

Well, you shouldn't start working before you are selected according to GSoC rules. You may however do some research and discuss your ideas to formulate a good proposal for your project.
