Hello BuildmLearn organisation,

I am Chhavi P. Gupta, a third year Computer Science student from India. I am an android developer and interested in working for BuildmLearn for this edition of Gsoc. I have developed and released several applications on play store:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dtudelhi.engifest
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.strollup.android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.engio.prayaas

Apart from which I am also volunteering as a mentor in Learn It Girl! (https://www.learnitgirl.com/) and an android instructor in a local coding institution. I am a firm believer in importance of open source which can be depicted through some of my work:
Github Profile: https://github.com/chhavip
LinkedIn Profile: https://in.linkedin.com/in/chhavip
Blog: https://chhavip.wordpress.com/

I along with my college friends are also working on an application to promote education and awareness in rural India :  https://github.com/Neophytes/microsoft-pragyan-hackathon.

I went through the ideas page of BuildmLearn and all of them seem like noble initiatives, my interest was caught by Adding new templates to Android Application task and also by Physics Simulation application idea. I would also very much like to implement Indic Language Input Tool and came across the following open source library if it could help in making the task easier : https://github.com/smc/Indic-Keyboard

I would appreciate any guidance on how to proceed with the topics of my interest and if there are any tasks that I can undertake at the moment. Looking forward to a great experience!

Best

Thanks for introducing yourself to the group.

Great, it seems that you are interested in multiple ideas. I would suggest you to go through the details of the ideas once more and pick one that you would actually want to work on. Once you have selected your favourite idea, follow the steps in the Getting Started section for the idea.

Feel free to post any specific questions that you may have about the projects.

Pankaj

PS: Organizations selected for GSoC 2016 haven't been announced yet. However, we do want these ideas to be implemented in either case :-)
