Hello,
I am Ravi Verma ,currently in my 3rd yr of B.tech program with branch Computer science.

while going through the BuildmLearn website, i found its agenda excellent. I have done various projects on mobile app development using HTML5,JS for cross platform and also native for android and windows, and many of them were live projects from professional clients.

I found the idea of developing mobile app supporting learn from the map to be exciting and more enjoyable, this app will include audience from all age groups as its human who are atlast more curious for everything. This idea is like more new and different from others, and along with the collective learning of the app a social technology can too be added to this like live giving points for most correct attempts and sharing it live with friends, send them a challenge , create a custom challenge for others and much more.Apart from these Since i have developed app having map API functionality and manipulations ,its also comfortable on my side also.

it would be nice to hear from you after reviewing above.

thanking you,
Ravi Verma

It's great to see your interest in the project. Would you mind coming up with a development approach or a plan of action.. as to how you would work if you are selected for this project.  Everyone's already started putting up draft proposals for review.

Feel free to browse this group for past discussions on Learn the Map and ask any specific questions that you may have.

Thank you sir for your reply,

Well i have thought to implement the project using cross platform framework like sencha touch 2,3, as with more advancement in the smartphone world there will be many untouched by the service if its inclined for particular or specific platform,so by this we can reuse the same code and structure for android, windows and ios.

Now,implementing the app we will be using google maps API for searching and presenting maps, with markers on it pointing to it for the quizzing part, and the user response will be recorded and matched to the answer ,if they are correct the user will earn point, and after certain points the level of difficulty can be raised which is like including less popular spots around the globe. All these quizzing part can be handled at backend on server so that the question is dynamic and quizzing becomes more fun by including the current affairs and their places.

the user can share their score online on platform like FB (implemented using FB JS sdk) , google+ (using inapp browser ability to share),twitter (using its JS SDK) and can even create custom challenge.

Custom challenge can be created as the user will search a particular place on the net and mark it and then frame question for it, we can record the latitude and longitude of the place and push them on the server and make it for those whom the user wants to or challenges to.

It will be like giving social power to learning.

Nice ideas. Would you be able to put together a draft proposal for review in time?
