Using Buildium will be quicker than re-keying all the applicants
data under a 3rd party data solution for sure. Buildium's
application is easy to integrate into your front end website and
doing so is pretty user friendly for both tenant leads and PMs.
Once the tenant application is integrated, you should never have
to re-key any basic tenant application data into Buildium again.
The tenants do the keying in and their data is then filtered
through Buildium as needed as the leasing progression tracks from
lead/applicant to eventual bona fide tenant.
Make sure you consider using Buildium's "Premium Tenant Screening" product. There are several key reasons why using this upgraded product is a better selection than using Buildium's basic tenant screening. Those reasons can basically be summed up into, (a.) better results, which are (b.) more accurate, and (c.) offer generally more automation for the PM.
Reports are not always immediate. Reports can take as long as 48 hours in my experience but are usually much faster with some being returned in just minutes. I can not say for sure, but I believe that if an automated check is flagged for human review by TransUnion, this is when the checks take longer.

The majority of our backgrounds are returned same business day in
my market which does include a fair amount of intra-state
transient tenants (ie, new arrivals to Florida). That said, we
set tenant expectations up-front and tell everyone a background
check can take 48 business hours to complete just in case as there
is no telling how complex any one individuals background might
actually be...
And the "Premium Tenant Screening" product will eliminate that
old pesky lead-centric step of the tenant having to manually
authorize a background check via email which used to impede
Buildium backgrounds prior to the introduction of their upgraded
Premium Tenant Screening. Premium Tenant Screening elevates your
firm to a TransUnion 'partner' after the initial setup which
allows your firm to directly order background/credit on tenants
from TransUnion after the applicant specifically authorizes you to
do so. No more waiting and wondering if your tenant got the
background authorization email or even knows how to use email.

Good morning,Anyone here using the application / screening through Buildium? Is it a time saver with having the residents pre-loaded into the system, then do you just move them into the property?I have been using Resident Research, overall happy, no complaints. But every applicant and cosigner needs to be manually loaded into the system.
