#FuelChange Campaign

Green For All’s #FuelChange campaign is mobilizing a movement of people across the country to fight climate change and improve health by bringing zero-emission electric cars, trucks, and buses to underserved neighborhoods. We use music, art, & education to reach impacted communities who’ve traditionally been left out of the climate conversation and develop local leaders to take action in their own neighborhoods.

Why now?

Transportation is now the number one source of carbon emissions in the U.S., which cause climate change. We have less than twelve years to significantly reduce our emissions to avoid catastrophic global consequences. But this is not only a climate issue, it’s a health and safety issue too. Low-income communities and people of color often live near busy highways, diesel truck and bus routes, ports and distribution centers which makes them more exposed to dangerous tailpipe pollution. Emissions from diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles causes low birth weights, asthma, cardiovascular illness, and even premature death. Growing evidence links these toxic pollutants to cognitive issues like autism and alzheimer’s. There are now more premature deaths from transportation-related pollution than traffic-related accidents every year.
