Dear Listener,

Tune in tonight to hear Eco-Radio KC host John Kurmann's talk at All Souls recorded last month.

And speaking of Eco-Radio KC, Tuesday at noon, Steve Mann will speak to Chris Taylor, producer of the new film, Food Fight.    Stay tuned at 12:30 when the Bioneers radio series airs "Just Like a Woman: Nature, Chemicals and the Feminization of Science": "There is a fundamental need to restore a female perspective to the male-dominated world of science. Is it any accident that the first person to sound the alarm about chemical pollution was Rachel Carson, a woman? These dangerous chemicals are 'feminizing' all us critters by disrupting our hormone balances. How did we get here? And what can we do about it? Environmental health advocate Charlotte Brody suggests that female scientists, with a different way of seeing problems and solutions, may lead us toward a new and healthy approach to the connections between human health and the health of the planet."   And Tuesday night at 6pm, Tom Klammer will talk to Israeli Gershon Baskin about peace in the middle east, and Tom will also speak with Lexy Lovell and Michael Uys (pronounced Ace), the producers and directors of the film,  The Good Soldier (thegoodsoldier.com).

Wednesday Morning at 7am, I'll welcome comedian Dustin Kaufman to the studio.  Dustin will be performing at a benefit on Saturday for local  Alexis Barclay to raise some legal funds so that Alexis may stay in the country (see attached).  We'll hear some new Brother Bagman, some Buttermilk Boys, the Hellhound Junkies and other artists that will be performing at the benefit.  Yours truly will be one of the MCs that night   At 9am, on Alternative Radio, Deborah Nelson will speak about Viet Nam war crimes.  Deborah has done some extensive research on the subject.  Apparently My Lai was not an isolated incident.  What's the Word at noon will explore the musicality of literature, which dovetails nicely into our 12:30 broadcast debut of Darwin, the Musical on From Ark to Microchip.  I've heard about five minutes of it and so it sounds amazing.  Please do not miss this.

Stay tuned,
