Ok...I just made a prototype Project Agenda to help us get organized.

I left out alot of details becuase I know its going to need lots of
changes....for example we may need a column for Priority.

Please take a look and reply with your suggestions and comments.

See you at the first group meeting in the new sim... YAY!

work.

Perfect work, Ted.

It is superior to my "Project by Building Page" already, and I see you
imported all my details, too! Any reason I shound't delete my draft
page?

I am adding a few lines to the Agenda ASAP issues for me, then going
to work on them!

Arth.

a few quick notes, Ted:

This is excellen work, far superior or my "Project by buildign page"
I've made a few additons and have two requests:

We do need addional colums for each project:
a written description is done in world (by whom, then when done)
a location is listed where the build and description are so anyone can
see (a note card in a prim will do it.)
then of course, who leads the project team and its' members, status,
start, due, and end dates)

Phoenix asked we both approve projects. I need to ok the description
(if not write them myself), I think, but I dont' feel the need to
approve the final build unless the artist requests it, but maybe I
should, anyway.. How might we note this (my initals, &/| yours and
maybe PS somewhere on each step)? Where do you see you need to fit
in, Ted? Lead & Team assignement and priority, perhaps? Phoenix,
where do you wish to be included, as policy for now?

Yours, Arth

Ok. I'll make a back up of the current Project Agenda Page and then revise the Project Agenda table of the Model of Valimar by 2pm today so you can see if its acceptable then, with your approval, I'll revise all the other tables to match the format.

Phoenix asked we both approve projects.  I need to ok the description

How about "AK,TH,PS" to mean approved by all three of us.

I'm not sure what you mean by step?....approval of your prioritized task perhaps?  Should I'll put this issue on the agenda?

Where do you see you need to fit
in, Ted?

Well.... to be honest, this is all happening so fast. I'm sort of overwhelmed but I've got your list of prioritized tasks and am staying focused on that.

So... Right now I'm working on taking inventory of the entire project. I'm going to refrain from analysis ( like i did with the Walls )  until the appropriate time.

I plan on being done with inventory of projects tonight and will then send you both a report of my findings before 9am tomorrow.

I hope to get your replies before the meeting tomorrow night so I may then give the group a acceptable general summary of the report.

Lead & Team assignement and priority, perhaps?

I would like to lead a team of scripters along with builders for big projects (like orc/wargs with AI) but I find I lack lots of info and need to spend so much time researching. Remember, I'm only 5 months old in SL :~)

If you want me to start taking inventory of group strengths and start forming teams, I will. It seems logical to me that the highest priority projects will determine what skills with need to be utilized. This is because many people have overlapping skills and to restrict a person to one group would be inefficient. (i.e. Let the need determine the form of help required! Am I right on this point?)

I have a nagging fear that people are not going to want to start doing the hard work it may take when we start assigning responsibility on them and putting deadlines on things.  And I also fear criticizing builds because its so personal...and things can always be refined... its hard to know when "its good enough." Thats very subjective!

I thought you were doing team forming and assignment Arth.

I also assumed project priorities are determined by you Phoenix.

Also, Phoenix: I really wanted to say, great job on raising group moral at the last meeting I was almost in tears of joy at the thought of how great this project will become and the people involved in it....Truly inspiring!

BTW,  I'd like meetings to be a bit more business like though.... and have people study the agenda BEFORE the meeting...but thats not very fun for most people is it?

Seeking approval before Page-wide revision:
I've made the suggested changes to the Project: Valimar Map table.
Awaiting approval (and any suggestions) before making changes to all
the other tables.

See you all soon,

So nice to see the start of a viable and visible project plan. It
will be good to also consider dependencies. So what must wait because
it is dependent on the previous steps. (i.e. you don't lay the carpet
and then paint the ceiling.) Vana

Ted, thanks!

The Model of Valimar note excellent and very helpful to me already!
Good formatting. I approve.

>> How about "AK,TH,PS" to mean approved by all three of us.

We might find a easy way to streamline soon, but for now, I like it.
Each of us intials by editing the page?

Ted, I'm not much older than you in SL - I started 3/14/07, so we're
both figuring this out as we go. But, we have lconsiderable life and
prior programming experience to guide us, too..

I see each member of our team has two different group profiles:
skills and projects.
Skills we keep in the in-world group listings: I get the skill
listings into the group, then each member is given title to all the
skills they care to demonstrate with any competence to a group
manager. Then, if anyone is looking for a , say, a costumier or event
manager, they look int the group and find one and ask an on-line one
to help. [can this be a project on the page Ted?]
Projects we'll keep in web-based Builders-of-Valmar group, and
your recent work is all about establishing that.

I think, Ted, these are both OUR management jobs. I'm willing to take
teh lead on both of these, but I will need piles of help. fortuately,
I am getting it. Yes, Phoenix is ultimately responsible and I
guarantee he WILL make his mind known, so we keep him in the loop.

Love, Arth

OK, I spent all morning fiddling with these tables.

Please let me know if anything needs to be changed.

in regard to the first section, I've been taking progress photos since
before we moved to the new site, just in case they will prove of
value. I am happy to help with such things as history, photos and
style guides (at least with format if that would assist) Sheri

I also don't mind helping as well in this area. I have put out
texture vendors to help builders but if the texture is not there that
you want let me know and I will see what I can do to find one for you.
I also have a good supply of scripts and many other what not things
that may be needed.

For the last year or so I have studied Old English/ Irish/Celtic/
Arabic/Elfish style and if there is any questions as to type of
texture or texture look let me know and I will see what kind of
information I can get to you.

While building a good thing to keep in mind as to what kind of build
to build would be
"Would you have built that back in King Arthur's time?" It was a very
romantic time period full of a great deal of Arabic and Roman
influence. Also think of the Great Celtic people of before Arthur's
time. There builds was more natural based. They worshiped the Earth in
all its glory. What stone they could find what would they could find
they used and made it artistic. Even over the ages have many of their
works survived and are marveled at. Just some things to think about.
Always
Arian

Regarding the donation bowl. you can strike that from you list I made
one at the meeting last night and gave it to Phoenix... So there is
one and the right person has it... It's full perm so modifications can
be made to it if desired. The script was changed so that it suites
it's intended application.
