Hello,  I am new to GraphiQL. I am not sure how to use it to fetch all loans made by US single borrowers who are not working with any partner organizations. I am keen to get all the data related to such borrowers (e,g,, gender) and loans (e.g., full loan description, loan size, number of days to fund, any risks associated, etc.).

Request your kind guidance.

Thank you!

Hello!

This sounds like the kiva data snapshot is the more appropriate place to do your research:

You can filter for US borrowers there, and can derived the relevant features from there. The accessing the live graphql api does not sound the ideal solution for your use case. The data snapshot is generally updated daily.

Hope this helps!

Thank you! For some reason, the data snapshots are empty.

Thanks for letting us know about the issue.

I cannot replicate your issue was able download the csv snapshot with over 1.6 million rows, but I also suspect that the snapshot is not up to date up through 2020. However, I think the snapshot should be sufficient for an initial analysis until the data snapshot issue is resolved.

I would suggest that you open the loans.csv file with something other than Excel if you cannot see the rows. Excel may crash under the weight of a 2.9Gb csv.

Hope this helps!

I experience the same problem with both the .csv and .json files. I tried unzipping with two different programs and from different browsers, but the problem persists. When opening the files, it appears the following error message: "no connection found in file If the error message is unclear, enable logging using -o log_level=DEBUG and see the log to find out the cause."

Thanks for your help!

Hello!

I cannot replicate the user reported error. I am using a MacOS Sierra. My process this morning was to download the files until the download completed. Wait for the macfinder to unzip the files and with three files inside the folder. These files I have entries that run from 2005 - 2019. I opened the files with Sublime Text 3.

I am seeing this error within the loans.csv file at the top of the file:
250001 (08001): Failed to connect to DB: kiva.snowflakecomputing.com:443, proxies=None:None, proxy_user=None, Incorrect username or password was specified.
If the error message is not clear, enable the logging using -o log_level=DEBUG and see the log to find out the cause. Contact the support for further help.

For the downloaded loans.csv file, the row observations below seem to begin at line 7.

I am not seeing this error for the lender_loans.csv, but I do see an error for the lenders.csv

Aborted!

This issue has been reported, but it will be of indeterminate time before it can be resolved as the Kiva engineering priorities for Q1 have already been set. We appreciate your patience while the data snapshot issue is resolved.

If you have an immediate and critical research need for the data snapshot file, please contact Kiva with your research proposal with this form, and it will be internally reviewed:

Hope this helps!

Yes, I received the same error. I would greatly appreciate a resolution.

Hello!

Despite these errors, I still do have the rows of data below the error message. hopefully the current band of data/information will be sufficient until the data snapshot issue can be addressed.
