When will we see "portfolio yield" within the table?

also general understanding: if i buy a loan share here
http://www.kiva.org/lend/266396
then she has to pay back an estimate of 147,30% to the bank for me
to get 101% ?!

thanks

The portfolio yield includes administration fees & wraparound services.

The profitability refers to how much the mfi makes after all of their expenses are paid. Kiva lenders do not make a profit. If the mfi profitability is negative, it generally means they are being supported from outside sources.

I don't know of any plans at the moment to add the yield to the API.

Another thing to note is that portfolio yield is a summary of all the MFI's loans, not just with Kiva, so a given loan might have a higher or lower interest rate for the borrower, depending on the loan product.

Hi Raine,

I've made a note of your feature request. I can't say when it will be added, but we post about it here when it is added.

Cheers,

I would also like to see this in the API and since this is a pretty old topic (sorry to bump it up), I thought I'd post to see if there is a way to get PYs from the API that I can't find. It is a good metric for deciding on what loans to fund, and I think one that plenty of people use. Was glad when it showed up in the lending page filters!
