Repayment data and researchScore

Hi!

Two questions -

1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but data about actual repayment of borrowers (unlike repayment terms) are still not available on the API, are they? I see a variable called "delinquent" but it seems to always be False.

2. These is this variable on the API called researchScore - does anyone know what is means?

Hello!

Thank you for working with Kiva data! I believe one is only allowed to see repayments for one's own portfolio of loans, and you would need an application token to access the api for your own portfolio data. 

researchScore is an internal Kiva score used to compare loans to current research around social impact.

And why can't we have access to that data? The website shows it freely to everyone.

Thanks for your interest in using Kiva data! There is currently no procedure for issuing new tokens as the authentication service procedures are in the middle of being migrated to a third party vendor to increase user identity security. Long-time developers are likely using tokens when the app application process was open as the REST API hasn't been fully shut down until Kiva implements a new token system for developers' apps.

Borrowers' real-time repayments are displayed only to the people that supported their project. Those stats and repayments are available to a user's own loan portfolio. If you didn't support a loan, you generally don't have access to those other borrowers' loan repayments.  Your own portfolio of repayments on the website are not available to other lenders.
