I recently discovered BugsXLA.
And promptly started panicking because it would not run.

Installation upon an older machine/windows worked fine.
Further experimentation yielded workable results upon my windows 7, 64bit, MS office 2013
- achieved by working in either the case histories spreadsheet that came with BugsXLA.
or an office excel 2013 version file created initially upon a XP machine.
(And no conversion to a latter file format version type). And be wary of altering any tab names.

so if you get similar errors to the attached pdf file.
Good luck

Awesome toolset Phil. Congratulations for making Bayesian accessible to plain engineers.

typo: excel file should be in version 2003 .xls to run BugsXLA successfully upon my newer 64bit PC.

Hi,  Thanks for posting your personal fix and kind words about the software.  It is still a mystery to me why some users have problems using BugsXLA with some versions of Excel/Office/MS as I have Windows 10 and Office 2016 and cannot reproduce any of the errors.  I am also aware of many others who can run the software on the versions of Office later than 2007 and Windows 8 or later without problems.  If you send me directly the steps that lead to the errors you show in the pdf, then save the file after the errors occur and send it to me at the bugsxla email address I will see if I can diagnose.  All the best Phil
