surveys and kickoff meeting notes

Hi everyone,

Attached are the notes from our meeting with Ann Quinn on Thursday-thanks to everyone who attended for a great discussion. To gather more information before the Board retreat (June 27th 9am-1pm!!), we're going to send out a survey to members and former members. Drafts of those questions are attached. Feel free to send me any edits or changes that you'd like to see (in the next week would be great), and I'll collect the changes and send them back to Ann.

Also, after the Board retreat, we'll be having 3 breakout sessions to discuss staffing, volunteers, and finances. Could you please fill out the Doodle poll below so that we can reserve the dates now before Ann's schedule fills up. Please enter all dates that you are available, even though we certainly don't expect everyone to go to all of the sessions! Also, if there are other people outside of the Board that you think would be good to give their input (particular members, frequent visitors, partners, etc), please let me know and I can invite them as well.

Would it seem useful to include a question or quwstions in the surveys about interest in supporting BUGSS through donations or sponsorship?

It could be useful to find out if some members want to donate money in addition to their membership fees. Some members may be affiliated with organizations or company who may make good sponsors.
