Hello,
1. PLEASE TAKE THIS 1 QUESTION SURVEY (by 2/7) to help us understand where we should plan the 2014 BUGMI conference. Please take this EVEN IF you do not plan on attending the conference this year. The survey can be reached by clicking here. Please take this right now so you don't forget. :)
2. I wanted to give you an update on where the transition stands to migrating us from Google to the Commons. We have moved about 2/3 of our BUGMI community into the Commons so far. That is great, but we don't want to leave ANYONE behind. So, I am extending the drop dead date for the BUGMI Google Group for 2 more weeks. I will now plan on decommissioning the BUGMI Posts Google Group on 2/7. I will forward a separate email out to once again try and ask all remaining people to join us in the Commons. If you have already joined, then you will be able to disregard that message - and THANK YOU for making the move to the Commons!!
3. I have noticed that there have been 4 messages posted in the BUGMI Commons so far, BUT not 1 response to the questions has been posted. This seems unusual based on our past experience of postings going through the BUGMI Posts via Google Groups. I am very concerned about this. I think we have really seen an increase in collaboration across BUGMI via the use of these BUGMI Posts over the past 2 years or so, and I definitely don't want to lose that momentum. I am wondering if people don't recognize the messages that are coming in from the BUGMI Commons, and hence, are not responding to them. To that end, I am going to send a separate email out to our community trying to show you how these messages look in your inbox as opposed to how they look(ed) when they came to you via BUGMI Posts (Google). I am hoping this will help all recognize them, and then return to the practice of responding for calls from help from our BUGMI peers.
Please stay engaged and involved in BUGMI so that we ALL can benefit from our interactions, knowledge sharing, and experience. I know our team here at LCC benefits from these ongoing collaborations, and I hope / assume yours does too!
Thank you, and take care,
Update... we have had 107 people take our survey so far!! THANK YOU!!
Since we have > 400 people in BUGMI Posts community, however, I think we can do a lot better than this. Please take 20 seconds to complete our 1 question survey if you haven't already done so by clicking here. The survey will close at ~5pm on 2/7.
Thank you!!
