History purge doesnt seem to work

Hi
I have version 1.5 of bug log on MS SQL Server 2008, CF9 ent on Win
2008.
Its set to 10 days of history and has 29GB of data in there.
"DELETE HISTORY NOW" should clear the database effectively? It doesnt
seem to do this.
Delete all bug reports older than N days. doesnt seem to do anthing
either. If i change it to 1 day i still get the same number of errors.
This is basic functionality and i would assume has been tested. I know
the DELETE HISTORY NOW was added from version 1.4 so this has been
looked at.
Any ideas?
