Bangladesh Unity Federation of Los Angeles (BUFLA) cabinet are excited and overwhelm to announce that 12th Bangladesh Day Parade and Festival in celebration of 47th Bangladesh Independence Day, which was held on March 31st and April 1st at Virgil Middle School and on little Bangladesh area (on 3rd st between Normandee and Vermont) of Los Angeles, was one of the very successful Parade and Festival in BUFLA history we have seen.
Your enormous support, engagement and sincere participation in this program have made a tremendous contribution towards the success. Without your engagement and participation it would not be possible especially our community members. Your engagement and sincere participation are very, very contagious. We can't emphasize enough how critical and important you are towards made this program success. We hope you will continue and lend your support and cooperation to BUFLA’s efforts.
We do want to single out what we are thankful for, We are enormously grateful to all of our cabinet members, our respectable EC members, Associate Members, Advisory Council Members, Board of Trustee Members and all the members who were working behind the scene, who have worked tirelessly to make a successful parade and festival. Your enthusiasm and creativity have truly blown us away. Thank you so much for all the extra painstaking efforts by everyone of you who were there for setting up the program on Friday night until 1:30am and cleaning up the field on Sunday night until 3:30am to making sure we can have a successful parade and festival. We are so proud of your efforts and dedication to make this program a success. THANK YOU!!!
We must have to mention former president of BUFLA Mr. Enamul Hamid and Mr. Jashim Ashrafi and Mr. Shahidul Islam along with many other members for your time -- your commitment -- your positive attitude and your sacrifices are very, very appreciated. Whatever you did, your work is highly valued and truly makes a difference.
BUFLA Cabinet appreciates to our Parade Marshall honorable Congressman Jimmy Gomez, Member of Congress, 34th District for your kind attendance, enthusiastic speech and leading the Parade.
BUFLA family would like to show our exceptional appreciation to our honorable Chief Guest Dr. Kali Prodip Chaudhuri, Chairman KPC group for your time, engagement and participation at the parade even though you have conflict with schedule but you made it. Thank You!!!
BUFLA Cabinet also appreciates to our guest of honor Mr. Antonio Villaraigosa (very good friend of our Community), former (two terms) mayor of Los Angeles city council and hopefully next Governor of California for your time and enthusiastic speech.
BUFLA also grateful to our very special guest Mr. Priyatosh Shah, honorable consul general people’s republic of Bangladesh for your time, wonderful speech, engagement and hosting our motherland flag.
We would like to thankful to another special guest former (four terms) Congressman Mr. Jim Bates, United States House of Representatives from San Diego for your time, enthusiastic speech, painstaking effort and participation to our parade.
BUFLA Cabinet enormously gratetful to our Honorable President Advocate Abdul Hamid, People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Honorable Cultural Minister Mr. Assaduzzaman Noor MP, Honorable Secretary General Mr. Fokhrul Islam Alamgir, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and many more for your tribute message in our souvenir.
BUFLA family would like to thank Aladdin Groceries (Khokon Bhai) for feeding Biryani and providing drinks to all parade participator. Thank you very much for your kind generosity.
We are also grateful to Mr. Mehdi Hasan and his team (Harley-Davidson Motor Club) for participating with twelve motorcycles in our parade.
