Good Morning from Webster, NY - (

Thought I would stop by and put in a few words about the use of BufWik
external mashups, such as Google Groups, to improve the usefulness and
development of the site.
I had mentioned to Dave the somewhat disparate goals for the Google
Group and that more than one might be advised.
It seems this should be the Admin/Development group that I mentioned
and you might consider making it members only with approved
membership. It gives you freer expression, prevents vandals from using
info from the group to exploit you, etc
Maybe the second one I mentioned could be BufWikiInfo - I actually
prefer Yahoo Groups to Google Groups, but with Yahoo in some danger, I
guess Google is still the safest long term bet. The main purpose for
the Info group would be Push (email) communication with interested
parties. Another approach would be to encourage folks to use RSS feed
from a communications page, but that can create obstacles (which you
don't want) with the technologically challenged or adverse (:;>}
A third possible forum you may need is for conflict resolution (which
really does need to be off the BufWiki site. Conflicts are better
resolved in a less public forum with one or more referees..
Dividing them up allows you to use the Group's admin controls which
you will need in some cases.
I will post some of my thoughts on "Stakeholders" and the burden it
places on BufWiki and its owner/developers.
Am happy to have been able to help you get started.
