Hi Carl

We're hosting a local site for this year's Global Game Jam, a 48-hour
game development event.  If you could forward the invitation below to any relevant CSE student list, that would be most appreciated - thanks!

GLOBAL GAME JAM - BUFFALO

48-hour Game Making Challenge
January 25-27, 2013
Contact: Dave Pape, dep...@buffalo.edu

The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the premier annual game creation event
that fosters the development of innovative game concepts and promotes
collaboration and teamwork.  The GGJ welcomes creators of all
skills, levels and disciplines to gather for 48 hours and make some
truly cool games.  Participants around the world take the same weekend
to create, develop and play games around a secret theme announced at
the start of the jam.  It's a chance to meet new people, get inspired,
and expand your portfolio.  Be a part of the phenomenon that welcomes
thousands of people each year, and show off your creativity.

This year, UB's Game Studies program will be hosting a GGJ site in Buffalo, beginning at 5pm on Friday, January 25, in the Center for the Arts (UB North Campus).

We will provide round-the-clock access to labs of PCs and Macs, software
including Maya, Unity3D, and Adobe Creative Suite, wifi, and
plenty of coffee & snacks.  The event is open to anyone 18 or over.

To sign up, create an account at http://globalgamejam.org/, then
register at http://globalgamejam.org/sites/2013/university-buffalo
or e-mail dep...@buffalo.edu (Dave Pape)

Totally forgot to send this to ACM. I just sent it though.

I'm like 90% attending. Whoop! Two 48 hour hackathon weekends in a row!

Nick
