Since Dan asked us to post here regarding co-working, I figured I'd
jump-start the conversation.

I would love a space that had a desk, someplace I could stash a spare
monitor, and had a little quiet space for my mountains of client
conference calls. My only other requirements are a couple of outlets,
space for 2 laptops, and a solid internet connection (doesn't even
need to be fast, just has to not "blink" on me).

As I told Dan, I can commit $x per month to ensure that we get a
suitable space, even if I don't manage to get down there more than
once or twice a week. And if that space we slightly north of downtown
(anywhere between, say, Summer St. and Kenmore Ave), I would be there
a lot more. Downtown parking is kind of a bitch, and I really hate
it.

Anyway, I miss working with real live people, and I hope something
gets going soon. If we had more space and any interest, I have stuff
I could bring in - a plasma TV, metric tons of movies, etc.

Same! I'll do some Craigslist hunting tonight and post what I find. Excited to put this together.

I'm also willing to commit $X per month, and I, too, just want a place I can stash some work-like things (mouse, _maybe_ monitor), and drink good coffee with Dan.

I think we ALL want to drink good coffee with Dan, don't we?

(cheese it, he's stumbled upon my secret plan!)

If I end up back in Buffalo, I'm willing to make a commitment too.  I'm targeting a move in the next 6 months.

Also so it's known, there is a google list for buffalo coworking with some archived discussions.

Ok we are on that list already. Haha

haha, I was just going to reply that! Gotta get some filters to label those emails ;-)

I'm also (obviously) down for coworking and coffee making/drinking. I think my only need is to have a working sink that's not in the bathroom.

I'm down for it, obviously.

I have an office above Spot@Del. Parking sucks -- it's either $6 for a
day right behind the building or you walk a few blocks. I call this
office "Little Bosnia" because I had to take immediate occupancy on 11
Dec to hold some key meetings after my MWX lease terminated/defaulted
on 30 Nov -- the landlord will catch up on repairs once I give him a
window. Relative to ye olde MWX Loft, it sucks. No kitchen (though it
can be built out - there are drops), bathroom at the end of the hall,
not a ton of daylighting. But it's heated. And can be expanded from
400sqft up to 1200sqft with lease modification.

Anyway, if we want to get the party started, the offer to use that
office to start with is probably an option, and I can get the repairs
done in the next couple of weeks. As you might tell, I'm not in love
with the joint. I'm willing to join whatever effort has momentum. But
it's an office with big tables and decent internet (huzzah!), with a
coffee shop below to start.

Interest? Objections? Feedback?

Dan, how many weeks until you know if the Brisbane space is for certain?

I'll know in a week or two.
