Well, holy crap. That is awesome, Steve. I also wonder what I'm going
to do while Valhalla is under construction, but this initiative puts
my long-term mind (a bit) at ease. It seems that the discussion is
turned more to the nearer-term Co-working Collective (the rest of
2010, maybe into early 2011 assuming that this will take a while to
Get Done). To be honest, I would MUCH rather have a managed space like
the one envisioned, and having "anchor businesses" is very, very
smart.
But my needs are pretty simple and are, well, *current* business
needs. Finding a mixed use space in the interim may just be my
struggle, but it's one that I'd much rather assume is shared with
others until the future state you referenced is a reality. As with all
things: collaboration is for now, planning is for the future.
I will continue the discussion w Anthony when he's back in town (just
got the autoreply) and post back my direction as it changes. In the
mean time, anybody who wants to discuss can do so here, call me at
work
(716 202 8482), or find me at at Open Coffee every Tuesday
morning.
