Good Afternoon All,
The Sunshine Coast Environment Council SCEC is hosting a forum this Thursday night 21st October at the CWA hall (behind the RSL) in Tewantin from 6.00 – 7.30.
Following this will be another workshop on Monday 25th October from 6.00-9.00pm at the same venue.
Giselle Wilkinson will present the Transition Decade and the collaborative plan to achieve it that is emerging from the Transition Decade Alliance. She is a
passionate advocate for the environment and has an interesting story to tell.
Since launching at Woodford at the end of last year, the emerging T10 Alliance made progress on a few fronts.
Mobilising Whole Communities to Restore a Safe Climate; the Ripple Effect; the Shared Plan; the Shared Campaign
The focus of these next two events is
(i) the NEED for and PLAN for the Decade of Transition to Restore a Safe Environment and
(ii) the Community Capacity Building needed to support all the good work of the many organisations focussed on social and environmental sustainability
Giselle is looking for people from the Sunshine Coast to become involved and SCEC has provided some assistance to get her bearings on the coast. We encourage all people interested in climate
Change to go along to the presentation and workshop.
