I like buddyfeed. But I have a problem with it.

The problem:
I have subscribed my friend's twitter in my FF. When he post a
message including a tinyurl,
I cannot view the link.

eg. “A.I.G. to Pay $100 Million in Bonuses After Huge Bailout
http://tinyurl.com/cypb5k
when i click the message, it brings me to a twitter page,
can buddyfeed just bring me to the tinyurl page? This is much more
convenient.

Regards.

Hi,

It's due to a bug of webkit. The link with a target of new window can not be opened with webview. It has been reported to Apple.

However, I am thinking to add a feature to support links in entry view. It's been in my todo list already.

When you land on the Twitter page, you also cannot click on the link
from there to view

It will be worked around by handling the links in the message view in
stead of the inline browser. The fix is already in the code base and will
be in the next release.

The beta will be ready for testing in the next week. If there's no other critical issues, it will be submitted to Apple for reviewing by the end of the next week. Hopefully, it will be released in two weeks.

If you want, I highly recommend you to enroll in the beta test to check if it meets your requirement. Thanks

Follow this instruction to find the UUID of your iPhone or iPod touch. Send the UUID to rob...@codewalrus.com

When the beta is ready, I will send you the binary and the signed provision profile for you to install.

Has V2.0 been released? If so, how do I change from the ad hoc distribution to the "live" one so I can keep up with updates, etc. ?

Bob,

The V2.0 has been released for a while. You should have been able to check out the update notification in the iTunes.

If you are still using the ad hoc version. You can just delete it and reinstall buddyfeed again. You won't be charged since you have owned the copy.

Thanks!
