Linked data, I think, would be the next step forward. Once bc has
location awareness, it can then link locations up to real-world maps.
So basically I see this as a new feature for implementation after
basic functionality is implemented, as a sort of optional add-on to
the XMPP location component that this project proposes (optional
seeing as how performance would require locally storing a global
OpenStreetMap or comparable, which would be very large indeed - 21 GB
apparently).
