8-Week Meditation Class

Learn to show up, one breath at a time, living fully and joyfully the one life you have to live today.

The practice of mindfulness meditation cultivates the basic skills necessary for showing up and growing the wisdom of our own lives: 1. Presence, 2. Nonjudgmental observation, 3. Body awareness, 4. Inner joy, 5. Inclusive compassion, 6. Resilience in the face of distress, 7. Intentionality and creativity, 8. Connection to a larger whole.

We’ll cover core Buddhist meditation principles in a practical way, in accord with science, and relevant to people of all faiths and no faiths.

We enthusiastically welcome people of diverse faiths, races, ethnicities, gender presentations, sexual orientations, classes, body types, ages, abilities, and experience levels. Geared toward beginners (0-300 hours of practice).

Seth Josephson, PhD, has been practicing Zen and other forms of meditation for over 20 years. He is a co-founder of Mud Lotus Sangha and the Buddhist Network of Central Ohio, and he earned a doctorate in Comparative Cultural Studies from OSU with a focus on intersections of religion, science, and nature.

Sundays 2-4 pm — Starting January 5th
