Open source teleprompter software available for online and offline use. Imaginary Teleprompter is easy to use, and runs on a wide variety of computers. We created it to promote the democratization of media by enabling more people to produce quality contents at low cost, and to promote the adoption of free software solutions by the media industries.

Imaginary Teleprompter is an easy to use, web based, teleprompter app. It features mirroring, dual-screen support, rich text editing, image support, custom color schemes, three reading indicator placement options, a chronometer, auto-save and accelerated graphics.

As of 2022, Imaginary Teleprompter has been superseded by QPrompt teleprompter app, and is now considered legacy software. Most, but not all, of the features present in Imaginary Teleprompter are also provided by QPrompt. For this reason, Imaginary Teleprompter will continue to receive maintenance releases, as users transition over to QPrompt.

After you have entered and saved the text, start the teleprompter by clicking Prompt It! in the top-right corner of the editor window. The software then switches to a full screen mode and all the controls disappear. If you are using the preset options, the scrolling text will start scrolling through the image from bottom to top at a steady speed.

Hi, we have a PrompterPeople teleprompter. We are an event production company that has occasional teleprompter needs. The software the PrompterPeople teleprompter comes with has crashed multiple times (with limited use) and is choppy when adjusting speed.

Teleprompters have become an important tool in television and politics. The goal of a teleprompter is to display text to the speaker in a way that gives the viewer the impression the speaker is improvising. The recent rise of platforms such as YouTube or Dailymotion has democratized video production, which means that more and more private video bloggers have an occasional need for teleprompters to deliver essays, speeches, and other presentations.

You don't need expensive equipment to integrate a teleprompter with your video creations. Armed with just a Raspberry Pi and the free Imaginary Teleprompter [1] software, you will have the same capabilities as speakers at a political event or on TV.

For professional recordings, there is the External prompter option to the right. The External prompter configuration options are intended for a second teleprompter, of the type used for speeches and lectures. The second teleprompter can be controlled completely independently of the first one. It is not possible to switch off both prompters at the same time. If you accidentally set both dialogs to Disabled, the program tells you this is an incorrect setting.

You enter the text displayed later on in the teleprompter as in a conventional word processor. To do this, first click on New Page on the left in the button bar; the sample text then disappears. Now enter the text for the teleprompter to display as you would in any graphical word processor and format it as required.

Meet QPrompt (the successor of Imaginary Teleprompter), an open-source teleprompter software for video creators, designed to work across several popular platforms, including Linux and macOS, as well as to be compatible with both mobile and desktops.

Written in C++ and QML, QPrompt leverages the Qt and Kirigami frameworks to provide users with a fast, easy to use and flexible GUI with a jitter free experience, which works with cellphones, webcams, tablet teleprompters, and PC-based studio teleprompters.

Check out what happens when the "Anderson Cooper 360" staff pranks him on air with a video surprise. You feel a bit sorry for Cooper; then again, he is the kind of person who brings a basil-scented candle to work. "Some of my co-workers don't like the way my candle smells?" he asks indignantly. "And you don't tell me? You let me read it on teleprompter?"

Cooper has great chemistry with Kelly Ripa. No offense to Michael Strahan, but we were hoping Cooper would take over the seat once Regis Philbin retired. In this clip, Cooper participates in an exercise segment with the morning-show host: Probably not the wisest move for someone who moans, "I don't like to do exercises that draw attention to myself." Ripa tries to get him to join in on Thigh Dancing ("It's good for the credibility," according to Cooper) and a bit involving pelvic thrusting while twirling an imaginary lasso. You sense the newsman in Cooper is crying a little bit.

We do our country no favors by politely forgetting that our so-called president and his allies traffic routinely in boldfaced lies: The assumption that Muslims are terrorists. The claim that Mexicans are streaming across our southern border. The howler that refugees get no vetting. The delusion that robbing women of reproductive choice will lead to fewer abortions. The fabrication about millions of illegal voters. The hyperventilating over inflated crime stats and imaginary transgender villainy in bathrooms while privileged predators float above the law.
